Hi

Yes there is, I just did it and it works a treat! Its on the ftp site under shipped roms. Read the jasjar update guide elsewhere in this forum.

You'll need to install winrar in order to unpack the .exe from O2.

There are a few little oddities + if yr on t-mobile you wont want all the O2 junk. I'll post later what I did, I have stuff from O2, T-Mob and JasJar extended roms (but not much of each). An awful lot of sh1te comes with the device, and some simple messing is required to excise it.

I can tell you that in my experience:

- JasJar rom is slower than t-mobile (even before you install contents of ext rom.

- O2 Rom (with no extended rom) is quicker than MDA Pro rom

- O2 Rom + selection of cherrypicked cabs from mda/exec/jasjar runs better than t-mobile+tmobile ext rom.

Also, installing the XDA rom seems to fix the issue where the ruddy phone does not ring until 3rd ring when it is turned off. (I shall experiment with this more later) <--EDIT Nope, still does not ring until 3rd ruddy ring!

Anyway, i'll post a step-by-step, collating all the info from the helpfull chaps on here.

IMHO though, O2 run is currently the way to go.

And what about the German Hardware-Keyboard when I would install the English o2-Rom on my German MDA Pro? Would like to still have a German keyboard but an English OS. Like my Windows XP.

You schould read

to get a german Hardware-Keyboard on TM-MDAPRO (German).
The Software-Keyboard is branded into the english ROM
(JASRAR or XDA EXEC). You shoult install
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/keyboard/default.asp
RESCO´s Keyboard/Pro to overlay it.
I´m using german`s MDAPRO with O2 XDA EXEC because
german MDAPRO crashes often.

in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty\ change Layout from 0x10409 in 0x10407 (409 in the local code for the US keyboard and 407 is the code for the german QWERTZ)
