Tried to Upgrade rom --> Crashed --> Now DEAD!! HELP!!

Please Help!!

I tried to use the aWizard utility and I did the RAPI and CID unlock and tried to install the 1.6.7.1 to my qtek with the original sept 22nd rom. It froze while doing the upgrade (after 3 or 4 mins) and now it gets stuck at the splash screen but it shows the 1.6.7.1. It does not connect via USB anymore and I can only soft reset or hard reset and it goes back to the qtek splash screen and hangs.

Do I have a paperweight?? Is there anything i can do without it being able to connect to USB??

Any help would be appreciated.

Enter Bootloader, - hold the "camera" and shortly press the reset button, don't release "camera" until you can see color screen, connect USB cable, and start to flash any ROM you like from ftp...

Thanks for your help!! It worked perfectly!! I am a long time 'viewer' and have loved all the knowledge that is available on these forums!!

I hope this helps out anyone else who is in a similar situation and is scared they have destroyed their device.

Hi Riker,

The upgrade takes 10 to 20 minutes to complete. If you stop it before it say finish then.... u have to flash ur device all over using upgrade program.

I may try somethings, but i'm not installing a new rom, without at least knowing what its going to do? :lol:

CID-unlock your Wizard first, please.

hey man..your lucky u got urs to work straight away

im stuck exactly where u r but now when i upload the new rom...nothing happens still..think its because i didnt do cid unlock...but it did say CID is unlocked on your phone now....

well...i just cnt get wait to get this dead 9100 to be bk up again..:(
