Thanks for those great links! When I try and install stuff i get the error that says

"The installation of _______ was unsuccessfull. The installation file is not intended for this device."

What does that mean, and how do I know what software will work on my 8310?

You have a smartphone (and not a pocket pc), so when you pick a software, make sure it is for smartphone.
On another hand, Tornado has a QVGA screen and runs on WM5, so some programs even intended for smartphones may not run on it.
