Plug Best ROM for battery life + stability?

I have been running Slim-vision 4.2.2 build 6.2 on my Desire Z for the past month and a half; since upgrading from stock gingerbread.

Unfortunately there are a variety of major issues with it, namely:
  • Kills battery (1-3 hours battery life now :\)
  • Unstable (almost all apps freeze)
  • Unstable (sometimes turns off randomly)
  • Inaccurate stats (battery is on 87% one minute; the next I get a "very low battery" msg)
  • Calendar app is broken (had to remove it)
So my question to you is, of all ROMs available, which has the best battery life + stability?

Thanks for all suggestions

I have been using Slim since it came out and don't experience the problems, once I had a clean install.

I did run into the Calendar app problem. The cause was running the wrong addon version. Here is a link to the correct version. You want build 6x, if use current build you will have difficulties.

I suggest you read the install instructions and the full thread for other helpful tips. Make you do a full wipe.

blk_jack makes a wonderful ROM, Mimicry is ICS ROM that is very good.

Check out other apps for battery drain or installation issues. Any issues I encountered where non-Slim behaving poorly. In the thread there are a lot of recommended tweaks.

I have using G2 since it first game out. It doesn’t matter what ROM I used I good only get 4-5 hours of battery on continuous use (screen on). Right now my phone is at 43% and I have not charged in over a day.

Go luck.

G2 using Slim Bean

For battery life & stability, I would have to say G-Lite. I always seem to go back to ILWT CM7 because I can't handle how slow ICS & JB run on it. With CM7 you get some customization and don't lose out on speed. =)
Phone: T-Mobile G2
Recovery: 4EXT Recovery Touch v1.0.0.6 RC1
Rom: ILWT CM7 879
Kernel: ILWT CM7 Kernel v1.8.1
Radio: 12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19
