One thing that is for sure is that this issue, however minor, is not limited to this rom. As I said, the SlimKat rom I had loaded on my INT version also changes the mac address of the device to a common one(?). Good thing is, the /efs folder does not get touched so there is a way to get things back to normal.
Automatic script to fix the issue with your next version would certainly make things easier.

I was looking at the slim/cyanogenmod crespo device tree and they have that line commented out. So that probably what we need to do... I guessing that with that line commented out, it will revert to using the nvmac.info.

Been busy lately with schoolwork, but heres a new build with the latest CM code sync'ed about 4 hours ago. This includes the fixes made by Meticulus to the camera, so now the back facing camera takes pictures if you set it to VGA. Note that if you are updating from the previous build, there is no need to reflash gapps. However, US users still need to flash the US kernel after flashing this rom.

If you are coming from a build before Dec. 24, keep in mind that data will have to be wiped in order for lvm to be setup. The installer will give you a warning the first time you try flashing and then error out so that you can backup your data if you forgot, and then you can flash the zip again.

ROM: cm-11-20140113-UNOFFICIAL-venturi.zip - 182.07 MB
US Kernel: cm11-USKernel-Jan12.zip - 5.80 MB
Gapps: Any will work, but I recommend PA's Mini Modular Package from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2397942.

So I took the Mac address from the efs/imei/.nvmac.info and replaced the macaddr=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX line in the /vendor/firmware/nvram_net.txt file and now both devices can use the wifi..

EDIT: Just to let everyone know, you could probably put any valid mac address in and it would work!

I just finished installing the update. Again, thanks for great work. I have not had a lot of time so far with it but if this update is like the ones from before, I am sure it will be stellar.
Anyway, FYI... the issues with the mac address still seem to be present. It loads with a different mac address than what is stored in the imei folder. I changed it manually and seem to work fine as before.
Just wanted to let you know about this little annoyance on otherwise a fantastic rom.

Thanks again.

Thanks again for this new release. I was running the slimkat version however I prefer the cm build as it seems much faster than slimkat and has the overclock to 1200 avaliable. There is still somthing funny about turning wifi on and off in the past two builds. If I turn wifi off, it randomly won't turn back on. It will get stuck trying to enable the wifi radio. It will require me to reboot the device and then it will turn on the radio. I did not have this problem with slimkat. 2nd not sure if it's a setting somewhere, but how do you see the recently run apps? On the older builds and slimkat you can hold the home button, however the menu button and the home button do the same thing? it shows the wallpapers and widgets and settings button? and finally i'm sure there must be a answer, wallpapers on the older build I could assign a static image to the wallpaper not scrolling and it would display full screen. (not a cropped version of the image) I prefer that over the scrolling wallpaper (I set it using quickpick) however in slimkat and in this newest build it defaults to scrolling wallpaper. The older build did not do that for me.

Oh and the radio now works in the newest build for anyone interested.
Great work I like it..

edit: ok found where to assign the custom buttons and reassigned the home button for recent apps. so thats fixed, and if you use the built in wallpaper app vs quickpick it allows you to set a full screen static wallpaper. so the only issue left for me, is the spotty wifi turning on/off getting stuck.

M.

Thank you for finally getting the camera to start to work. I'm so happy that it was partly fixed. I await a fully functional camera in the future. XD
If anyone wants to truly make this a faster ROM use pimpmyrom it works great!

I think that that wi-fi problem happens only when we install the last build as an update. I didn't perform a clean install yet but i had the same issue when i tried to flash a sightly modified kernel over the stock one (android 4.2+).

So I think that installing the rom by wiping data will solve the wi fi problem. Not sure though...

To those who aren't seeing this wi fi problem after updating the rom, try to turn off Always Scan option and try to turn on and off the wi fi. Also, it happens even on boot.. Actually if i'm lucky i get wi fi on on boot, otherwise i have to reboot untill i get it working...

The new ROM is working good so far, had a little problem with the Gapps on the OP page, but got it straightened out when I down loaded the PA gapps. May want to change the link on the OP page.
