Root it by using windows 7.... Windows 8 drivers are not fully compatible and hence some MISHAP may happen
i suggest you should root but using windows 7

Ive rooted my phone with Windows 8 There is absolutely no threat of doing so. You just need to disable driver signing so that it can recognize them. Apart from that its the same as with windows 7.
Before you do anything to your device, please read this topic so you get started on things.

Devices:
- Google Nexus 5
Kernel: Zeta-Chromium
ROM: Beanstalk 4.4+

- HTC Desire C
Kernel: N.O.P.E. V2.6 - 850 MHz
ROM: Stock CM10

My work:
NOPE-Kernel V2 For CM10

If you need to speak to me urgently or ask me any questions, please do so on My Facebook.

I tried it on win8 but it gave me an error! Luckily i had dual booted it and hence used win7 for rooting...anyways, THEN YOU CAN USE WIN8...sorry for the confusion...
