Default Installed Null, now Double tap of screen does nothing

I cannot access anything from double tapping the screen now that I installed the new Null Rom. I want to be able to get to the standard Note 3 settings for Volume and Brightness, as I shut down the volume while sleeping to avoid hearing incoming notifications, and to adjust screen inside or outside. Any settings in Nova or other that may have caused this, and how do I get this feature back? Thank you.

Thanks, but did read, and he only talks about double tapping the Home button, not the screen.

Lock the screen in Nova settings, then set the double tap gesture to whatever you want.

Did you figure out what shortcut activity to use to make it bring back the original dbl tap settings?

No sir. Could not get it, and since I am US AT&T with no cool Bluetooth tether, I went back to Stock.
