If anyone gets this, don't forget to pull the OTA update file if you can.

I'm taking credit for this. I got tired of waiting last night and flashed the US version. I knew the OTA would appear as soon as I did...

I have a UK retail Moto G.. Should I go back on 4.3 and wait the OTA or just stay with the US 4.4.2?

It looks like KitKat should be available for German Moto G`s https://motorola-global-portal-de.cu...050/reg/574932. Don`t get a update notification atm and there is no update available through the Device Manager. It should come within the next few days i guess and Motorola is preparing it now

Yes, as long as the rom, recovery and kernel are stock you can install the OTA. You will have to reroot though.

The same version number appears on Moto's website for the latin american update (KLB20.9-1.10-1.9), maybe we'll be getting it here by the same time.
