Default Hide Apps in App Tray function not available?

Guys I notice that this feature was removed from Kitkat. Anything I can do to get it back?

Two things ...
a) Has anyone been able to solve the bug mentioned above?

b) Why are moderators insisting on clubbing all KitKat related discussions under one topic? Obviously Bugs should be discussed separately so that they get the needed attention. A separate topic was started at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=50792737 but was closed.

While I agree that there is no need to going on "new topic" spree, I personally think that moderators must understand how to differentiate and draw lines where needed. Right now, this topic has turned into a junk yard with absolutely no way to find out if a point has been discussed or not. It was purely because of Google (search) that I realised that the bug above was a bug indeed and not my problem alone. Had there been a separate thread for bug reports, I would have found it easier to find and discuss .... and maybe get the relevant people's attention!

If everything related to KitKat is to be discussed here, why separate threads for Jellybean or for that matter various versions of S4, why not just discuss all S4 related stuff under one topic!

This was a change by Samsung, don't think I've seen any workaround for it yet, other than installing a custom launcher like Nova, Apex, etc. Bit annoying as it was quite handy, I like using it on Nova on my N7 and it was handy to use on Touchwiz.
