what do I need to read and write chinese on this phone.

is there a program which will let me read and write chinese on the Tornado? I have a Imate sp5 rom. I dont want to flash a different rom on it, just something so I can read or write chinese. anyone knows thanks.

as far as I know there is no good Chinese Plug-in for windows mobile 5 smartphone.

There is only one file you can install for you to read Chinese in Directory. But not in IE.

This is the file...if you are using WM5 you need to change the registry

HKLM\software\microsoft\Fontlink\Systemlink\

Nina

change "\storage\windows\font....." to

"\windows\font....

HKLM\software\microsoft\Fontpath\

(there is only one string value here)

change "\storage\windows\font....." to

"\windows\font....

Then restart....


If you want to uninstall it, you have to use remove program first. Then go to \windows\font\ and change mshei.ttf nina.ttf to mshei.tt nina.tt. Then move them to direstory other than \windows\ and restart.

then delete those two files (otherwise those 2 files can not be deleted)

copy chinese font file(for example:sunfon.ac3) to your /windows folder

modify registry

how do I modify the registry?

I have monster chinese (WM5 ver) with my reg code
too bad it's wasted (it's supposed to use with Dell X51v, but WM5 sucks)
mactiontech told me the monster chinese (core) for pocket pc can be used on smartphones
all I need is able to read Chinese on IE, WMP, and GSPlayer (WM5 ver can be used on SDA)
