Hey, just a quick thing I never experienced on any other ROMs besides this, so I figured it might be a bug.
After I reboot my phone, the system is mounted as r/o, not r/w. Of course I can re-mount it in Root Explorer, but that's the only app that works (tried several r/w mounting apps, neither of them were successful). Is this a bug or is this intented? If the latter, is there any workaround the have the system mounted az r/w at all times automatically, even after reboot?

Last time i asked they say its intended so that its more secure, my workaround is using "mount -o remount,rw /system" on a terminal but it wont survive a reboot

Thank you for your heads up. In this case, is there a chance that this can be turned off in a future update? I mean, having it mounted as r/w is not any more dangerous than flashing something and stuff.

Problem with a few Camera based apps!

Seems to a give a black screen on Instagram, MomentCam, etc and/or such camera based apps. When the album button is invoked in either of the camera apps, the screen goes black and doesn't respond at all. Need to soft reset the phone once that happens.
Reporting a bug. Job done :p Hope it all gets sorted in the next update. Cheers, bro :)

Dont know about non stock, but in my case gallery works just fine with recorded 1080 vids from this rom and stock .96 one

in my case 1080p vids don't start with stock gallery, and with mx player lags a lot...when i try to set h/w decoder it says that it's not possible, why?

Is there any way to be able to pick 3G only, so the phone cannot drop to edge? :)

in network setting i have only two mode: 3G only and 2G only....and you?

i'm using instaweather and instaplace app without problems at moment...

hi friends, after one day with this rom i can say that it is a great job, and this is only a beta version...so wow!!
all work fine, i think that there are some little things to do for a better beta 2 version like:
- screen take about 3 second to wake up on incoming call (ringtone is immediate of course, but video take some second to show up who is calling)
- battery drain is good in standby mode but when using phone battery drains more fast
- Network mode show only 3G or 2G mode, nothing about 3G/2G mode like stock rom?
- stock launcher can be improved (i missed functions like sort in app drawer and create folder on home screen), for now i'm using nova prime, it is the best for me
- during boot animation a white screen appears many time like a flickering (but this is not a real problem)
so waiting for next release :D
anyway good job...thisi is my daily rom now!

after some days i can add some stuff:
- general smoothness drop a bit after installed other my apps :crying: i have set windows animation scale to 0.25x and seems better
- today while I was in the elevator I noticed that phone drop on 2G (in my case roaming because my carrier works on 3G only) although i have set 3G only in network mode
- battery drain remain as the same i described, needed more capability :D i have set cpu min freq to 192 and I/O sched to Noop...it could serve?
- the delay of wake up screen on incoming call is annoying
- if i type in swift mode the keyboard disappear and phone stop responding for some second
- sometimes 3G network speed seems slow, i have done some speed test with ookla app and 3G results more slow compared to same test on stock .96 rom...wifi speed seems to be normal
- usually I charge phone during the night with phone off and it remain all the night plugged to the wall charger. at morning I noticed that the phone is on sim pin request page and of course the battery is fully charged. i think that when it is fully charged the phone boot up...it's normal or it is a kernel bug?
- i can't add widget on lock screen? is it possible to do? i can't find nothing about that in carbon preferences
- when i open camera app and switch to camera mode, than tap on red button and the app FC, then i restart camera app, tap on red button and after 2/3 second start to recording...this happens only the first time that i use camera app after boot up, but the delay of 2/3 second to start recording is always present...it's only
- confirm lag on status bar and launcher
- dsp manager is not very useful with earphone, i missed loudness...i'm using third part music player to get better sound...anyone know which sound mod work on this rom? (like ViPER4Android mod, PsA mod, etc..)

at moment anything else runs in my mind :D

request: is it possible to have the sent time stamp on received sms instead of received time, without install third party app?

Maybe you can enter to /system folder to edit build.prop and change:

"debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=3"

to

"debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=2".

then, reboot your phone.

After those steps, third party camera apps works for me.

What you explained there with the 3G, is exactly what I mean...I want only 3G and no 2G at all :) There must be an app or Xposed module

And the recording delay for me is more than 3 seconds, its about 10.

One other thing im experiencing aswell is...if I get a message on FB whatsapp or BBM and I open it from the lockscreen, it takes forever to actually do anything, but if I open from the status bar or go into the app, its instant

Not sure, Rayman himself said its for safety purpose, unless osmething changes his mind i don't think there will be changes. You could try what amey said under my previous post though, but you have to do some search, i never did that tweak he said cause i dont need it to be mounted as r/w that often.

Gentlemen,

I have been using the ROM since alpha1 and i am satisfied.

However i have a question.

Every time i reboot, the navigation bar appears no matter if it is disabled in the settings... Any1 has an idea how fix it?

P.S. thought id share... In Exposed Module there is a new module called "app settings", with it we can change DPI on a per app basis and we can make the Email Gmail, Settings with dual panels like on tablets... Its really cool and its usually a function of paranoid ROMS...

Check out the two attachments i uploaded, they show how my Settings look and the options i used in "app settings"...

Enjoy :D

Can't get any QR readers to work on beta 1. It was clean installed, tried QR Droid which is apparently working for someone else, but I just get a frozen phone when I scan any barcode from it, NeoReader, and the three others I tried... :(

There is a black screen after trying to log in to spotyfy app. Reboot is the only solution after that.

Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app

Wake on Screen double-tap

Hi,
This is an enhancement request (for after your exams :D ).
Could you add the wake device on screen double tap feature that is seen on the latest LG Optimus G2? Pretty cool feature I'd say.

Also, good job on the Beta1 version. Wish you good luck with this project. :good:

    Tips

    1. Missing the stock Sony UI? Check out this awesome theme - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thomassafca.theme.sonyuxp.free

    2. Getting lots of battery drains because of apps like Facebook? - Go to Settings--->Developer Options and enable Developer Shortcut. After using an app like Facebook, go to the recent apps menu and press and hold on the app in the list and you will see the option for force stop. Note:- Force stopping an app will prevent the app from starting again on it's own unless the user himself starts the app [so you won't receive any notifications but your phone is guaranteed to get deep sleep:D]

    3. Laggy launcher? I'd recommend using Nova. It's much smoother than Launcher3

    4. Music Lover? Viper4Android works perfect on this rom:D - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
Note:- Please install it as a system app so that it does not get killed by the system

    5. Working walkman - http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=48165168&postcount=337

    6. Want to play 1080p videos? Please install MX Player. It can play even 1080p vids in H/W mode:)
