Default [Q] QPST to save hard brick? Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 driver recognized only

my htc amaze 4g that is s-on (didn't touch that) is hard bricked. I believe it was due to somehting wrong with flashing (it was a awhile ago, i dont remember). however, it does show up in windows device manager as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM12)"

is there any specific way to save this and reflash ?

it seems like there is a solution for another phone with a similar problem: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f824...w-fix-1740061/ but i'm not sure if it would apply for my phone? I tried it and the QPST software does recognize my phone in download mode. i guess i just need to have the correct .HEX and .MBN files and flash it using QPST..?

please help! thanks!
