Default Notification Sound: Yes. Ringer Sound: No

I am using ViperS 5.0.0 but i think this is an HTC sense question in general.

I need notification sounds but i love to have my phone on vibrate only. i have found threads for people who want the opposite. Sound Butler, i have not tried yet. i want to make sure it definitely is not possible without an app.

Any ideas?

Just put the ringtone to silent/none? Should be a option in the menu somewhere.
