Default .win files

Is there any way to open data.ext.win files from a twrp backup folder? I lost my phone but constantly kept it backed up to my computer but some information and things i need are only in my rom backups. So i need to access the data inside this WIN file if possible
Active: Galaxy S3
Former 10: iPhone 4S

Former 8: Sprint EVO 3D
Former 7: Sprint Galaxy Nexus (for sale)
Former 6: Sprint Apple iPhone 4
Former 5: Sprint LG Optimus G

Former 3: Apple iPhone 4
Former 2: HTC EVO 3D (x5)

Former: Huawei Ascend

rename to .tar and open with winrar/7zip/etc.

Says file is corrupt once it completes but it isnt
