WITHOUT downloading a Launcher

How do I change the app drawer icon?

Where is the icon stored?

What is the name of the icon file?

Yes I have root access.
I am on a lLG G2 4.2.2
Kernel 3.4.0

I want to do this manually not with a launcher.
