how do i fix "insufficient storage" error when trying to install apps

i keep getting insufficient storage notification when i have more than half my system ram available.. anyone know how to fix that?

Change your default installation location to phone and you can easily install applications
I had this problem when I changed mine to sd card with Moborobo application
