Default Tab 3 7 inch. Home button. not working unrooted. Download mode?

How can I put a Tab 3, 7 inch into download mode if the home button isnt working? All other buttins work as normal. I believe it may have something to do with the wrong firmware version.

Cant reset using adb as it isnt rooted.

Tried all manner of button combinations?

Any idea, or is it goosed?

Will try kies. But factory reset doesn't do anything.

If the home button worked, Id be fine, but as it is I can do anything as I cant get it into download/recovery mode
