I've confirmed pirlano told me he is looking into it just waiting for the kernel source.
I think M7 is more premium design while M8 is cyber look, overall M7 is better.
What I concern is the camera because 4M UltraPixel is a total fail, the only advantage you got is a bright image but actual quality lower than normal 4M CMOS. It's pointless to get a bright image and nothing, I prefer a darker image but detailed. M7 is only good at what they've advertised, it is designed for facebook or Internet sharing because you never real view it, on a tiny screen you won't notice the different and a bright image is more suitable for this purpose. The idea is correct but only when you lived in the past when we all still carry digital camera everyday out. It's interesting HTC always lag behind the market.
To me and many guys. Unfortunately, we've go one step forward, smartphone is already a replacement of digital camera. I always use it to take serious photo no kidding, 4M UP is definitely not my cup of tea. I beat the M8 mini with 13M f/2.0 is even better than 4M UP when you do photoshop and cropping, high pixel not really meant to be better but 4M is too small.
Talking about the update, it's not all the HTC fault. Samsung, Sony and LG not willing to update their mid stream products as well. You get what you pay for. If you like to playing around with new software, Nexus is the only way to go. I never prefer buy Nexus phone because it's also expensive actually. Yes, the phone is cheap but don't forget they will only give you suck camera(though this time N5 a bit better), again you get what you pay for.
