Default Omni Rom - Need maintainer for Moto G

Hi everyone,

I am told that the Omni community has the Omni Rom working for the Moto G, but needs someone to maintain it before nightlies can be released. If anyone is interested in being a maintainer for Omni on the Moto G join the Omni community on G+ and voice your interest.

DONATE TO ME
To be clear - the current state is that it boots and wifi works. I realized I haven't even tested the camera yet and it's been booting for a few weeks, nor have I yet to insert my SIM.

In short while I've got it mostly working I simply don't have the time to properly maintain this device - I already am spread too thin with existing devices.

I'm hoping to have all of the required repos forked into the official Omni repos so they can be maintained in gerrit soon, but I'm not sure how I'm going to evaluate candidate maintainers. (Since the beginning of Omni, we've had some great maintainers step up, but on other devices we've got maintainers who are barely keeping the devices functional. In one or two cases we've had people merge devices in and then disappear, leading to those devices not even booting for more than a week of consecutive nightlies.)
*so much sig updating needed*

An excellent post on "noobs vs. developers"

A few opinions on kernel development "good practices"

Note: I have chosen not to use XDA's "friends" feature - I will reject all incoming "friend" requests.

It's a pity not to have developement for our device, but the need of someone doing real and serious work is quite understandable. I hope someone good enough steps up and Omni devs take the risk. I would if I had the knowledge needed to do it, but regretably, I don't.
