Default Windows 8 ODIN / drivers not seeing phone

I'm trying to flash my T989 back to stock 4.1.2 I got the .tar.md5 file but no matter what combination of drivers and ODIN I use, I can't get my Windows 8 computer to see it. Does anyone have any ideas?
