Once you pull off the otg cable, turn on bluetooth and press the PS button on controller. Works for me :/

There are some very authentic looking fake controllers out there - I think Sony has a way to ensure that the bluetooth function doesn't officially work for fakes.

Same here. I followed instructions laid out by DUALSHOCK app on my Xperia SP, after connecting OTG, the app says controller is ready to be used wirelessly. However once otg is disconnected controller does neither gets detected nor connects. :crying:

I recently upgraged to 4.3 update from Sony but before this upgrade the same controller was working flawlessly over bluetooth. Since the upgrade it is only working with cable but not over bluetooth.

Just for information the controller in question is not genuine, so it could be the case that Sony has found a way to detect fakes and stop wireless fuctionality with last update/upgrade. If thats the case then I was wondering how on Earth Sony managed that

Any help in getting my current controller working would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,
Its official, Xperia SP will only connect authentic, genuine PS3 controllers wirelessly! It was confirmed in an support email from Sony Support. Plus I also validated that using both genuine and fake controllers:good: Fake wont connect at all where as genuine ones connect before you can say connect :victory:

However I am still wondering how did Sony pulled this off with this update!
