I'll make one thing clear. I am not interested in upgrading to ICS, as I will lose all contents on my phone, and I don't feel like backup up and restoring everything, so I'm keeping Gingerbread. I'm more comfortable using it.

But I do need to root my phone. Can I do so without unlocking the bootloader?

I hear people say it's impossible to root an AT&T LT28. Is this true?

If not, how can I root my Xperia Ion? Any links?
I'd appreciate the simplest version, as I don't want to brick my phone

Thanks, Zii

Go ahead to ICS,

Why not JellyBean?
