Should I flash my ROM?

AS a newbie, I wondered if I should indeed "flash my ROM"
I don't wont to appear thick (but I know that I am), what does it do?

Here is my blah :
ROM 1.3.2.2 ENU
ROM DATE 29TH SEPT 2005
RADIO 01.04.10
PROTOCOL 4.0.13.17
EXT ROM 1.3.2.102

Do I need to flash it then?

Yes you probably should as you have a rather old version. My XDA Mini s has the following ROM (which I believe is the newest XDA rom to be released..)

Rom Version: 2.21.4.1 WWE
Rom Date: 03/09/06
Radio Version: 02.07.10
Protocol Version: 413.1.03
ExtRom Version: 2.21.4.101

Assuming your using an O2 XDA you can download the latest rom from the website or from the wizard FTP (I think...)..
