Default Phantom touch / disable pen input without root

Hi,
the phantom touch was always a small problem but after removing the screen protector it became horribly annoying. I can't use the xzu for more than 1 or 2 minutes without it trapping random stuff. I guess it has to do with the pen input which I thought to be an awesome feature before trying it for the first time because it never worked properly. Is there a way to disable the pen input without having to root the device?
Regards,

You can mod the sensitivity but not disable pen input AFAIK.
