Default Converting an app into a launcher?

So my friend has and idea. He decided he wants to make a tablet boot and launch Skype instantly. I figured out that if Skype would work as a launcher, I could set it as default and problem solved, but the internet isn't an easy place to find things. All I found is this:http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...droid-launcher, but it didn't help. After recompiling and signing the app, it installs fine, works fine, but I can't select it as a launcher. Namely I want to use the old skype app that I uploaded to mediafire, because attachment is not working for some reason. http://www.mediafire.com/download/m6...__2.6.0.95.apk
Can anyone help?

I'm currently downloading. And the ping is still 6ms. The speed is the same.

Mh i think it is quite impossible to do that without further systemui modifications etc..
Because the statusbar is like the first thing that is shown before anything is being started

Make an app with a boot receiver and start a service at boot using that app. Use package manager to open Skype or whatever app you want to open at boot. You won't need to decompile or modify any app, just need some basic coding skills and you can do it.

Edit : It won't make Skype a launcher, but it will just make it to open automatically everytime you boot up your device.

That part is already done, but the point would be that if you press home, it won't exit.
