Default Feature Request: Swipe Statusbar to Adjust Brightness

I miss swiping my statusbar to adjust brightness.
I use this feature a lot when reading while commute.

Hopefully you consider to add this feature.

It's been considered and decided against.
Mainly because it's a hidden UI element and not very intuitive. These are key points we are trying to cover with the new direction the ROM is taking.
