Any precautions I should take with regards to knox?

Is there a way to remove knox once it's already there?

This is my phone at the moment.

this is perfect !!!

you don't have the flag !!!

do no update your phone if you want to preserve your waranty !!! but only with a stock "modified" (with knox removed on the bootloader if existing for your country )

You don't currently have KNOX in you phone. Don't install any Samsung updates and you should remain this way

(Be extra cautious around firmware files starting in I9195XXU*B* - they're supposedly the generation of firmware containing KNOX upgrades)
