Default Art runtime

Hey guys just wondering how can I switch to art from dalvik? I can't seem to find the option anywhere. Using cm11 latest nightly.

I think is a user experience choice. To me Art is just a development released by google waiting for feedbacks from 3rd party developers to improve it. I see not much of improving comparing one to the other. Just try it and you decide

Better? Honestly, it depends on the rom and probably a bit of luck. For me, some apps seem smoother when ART is enabled, but I've also noticed more random slowdowns (screen on/off lag, etc) as well. You're safest to just use Dalvik and forget about ART completely. I think I even read somewhere that some of our libs are more optimized for dalvik as well, Teckno might have posted it actually.

It is safe to switch in between them, wiping /cache (and app cache with PAC's init option) is probably a good idea and something I've always done when switching to be safe.
