I can't get the camera to take panoramic photos. I swipe but sometimes it says too fast or too slow. What am I doing wrong?

You doing wrong the picture.

Just a bit of experience and you will get panoramic pictures.

I'm trying to shoot vertically, maybe that's the reason? It doesn't make sense to shoot horizontally because you end up with very long and short picture.

Yes,definitely. I had same problem.

I got same feature on my Camera and the Tip is, do not rotate with the camera, just rotate the camera 50/50.
