Easily remove the Custom Padlock on I337 AT&T

The key is rooting with Casual

Steps:

Install TWRP (Because Casual uses TWRP)
Make an nandroid
ODIN back to I337UCUAMDL
Root with Casual, it will also add TWRP
Restore your nandroid
The custom padlock will be gone

NOTE: Only flash from recovery or else you may need to repeat this guide

Thank you for the guide. There are also at least 2 more threads that cover this subject as well. I think it is important to note that other methods are available to remove the padlock icon and have "official" status. I think it is also important to note both custom recoveries TWRP and OUDHS CWM can be used and still have "official" status.

A lot more information can be found throughout the forums with the search function as well. Again, thanks for the additional method.

I have official status. I'm aware of the other guides, I only made this one since it's so easy.

here is my way, couldn't hurt to add it here...

FLASH YOUR STOCK BACKUP (for your device) Must be on stock - NO CUSTOM ROM (if you did not backup your stock from day one - your umm dumb)
Install Triangle Away from playstore (follow the instructions-make sure it shows your device correctly)
If you try this on a custom rom - YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!
Screen is gone.
Go back to normal.
Total time: 5min.

Haven't seen that screen since.

This is the best method and almost fool proof if the instructions are followed properly, otherwise any fool proof process can become a headache and you might lose your girlfriend and feel like your life is useless and everyone have turned against you
