Question Screen 'Clicking' issue

I have a UK phone which has developed a strange issue with the screen.

Presently about 85/90% of screen contact come with a 'clicking' sound which can only be described as a sound similar to that of static electricity. It can happen all over the screen, though when the keyboard is in use the noise is only apparent in the top half of the screen.

The feedback from the keyboard is regular.
The clicking noise is present in power saving mode.
A factory reset didn't cure the problem.
The problem has only really occurred since yesterday (phones been in use for a week).

Google and XDA hasn't really highlighted anything either.

Anyone have any suggestions before I get it swapped back with my service provider next week.

Cheers

No point in trying to fix it just get it replaced. The phone was expensive in the first place it shouldn't have these problems.

well feeling slightly stupid. Turns out its an option in the 'sound' menu. Can only assume that a friend looking at the phone yesterday activated. Now where's the delete thread button.....
