What is TWRP..... ?

Team Win Recovery Project 2.x, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

Default F.A.Q.

F.A.Q

Quote:
Q: I get error 7 while flashing any rom...
A: This recovery is built with slim rom sources, so the system.prop file (it's the build.prop for recovery) has as value for ro.device = slim-e400, and not e400 like cwm. To fix this using notepad++ (on win) or you text editor (Unix/linux) remove the get.prop lines on updater-script or just ask your dev. to add twrp support.
Quote:
Q: The wipe /data doesn't work.
A: You've flashed non-sdmerge twrp. Flash Sdmerge one
Quote:
Q: How can I flash this if I don't have root access?
A: Just flash via fastboot (google how to setup it, if you don't know how) using : fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (recovery.img is the img file you find inside the zip, drag it inside cmd/terminal window than write its path)
Quote:
Q: How can I flash CWM back?
A: Open rom manager and select install/update recovery, and install cwm
Quote:
Q: Which ROMs are supporting Twrp?
A: This is the available ROMs that supports twrp
Code:
Select Code
-Cyanoid #14+
-
If the rom you like doesn't support twrp ask developer(s) to add support
Quote:
Q: Does Twrp support OTA updates from Rom Manager? (roms like cyanoid)
A: Yes, you only need to wipe rom manager data and select during the setup already installed recovery > TWRP
Quote:
Q: Can I apply themes?
A: Yes, but need to download them at the right resolution
