Default a way to Sync but NOT charge?

Hi. Is there a way to sync your device with the desktop pc without charging your Alpine everytime you connect through USB? If it gets charging everytime I sync the battery will go bust in no time!

Thanks

DONATE TO ME
Modern phone batteries don't mind getting a topup charge before they go flat, in fact they work better like that. If it really bothers you and you want to run the risk of destroying your battery by completely discharging it before charging it again then use bluetooth.

Li-Ion (Lithium Ion) batteries are not susceptible to the "Memory" effect that so long plagued Ni-Cad (Nickel Cadmium, the most common type of rechargeable, and the worst) Ni-Mh (Nickel Metal Hydride, iirc, better than NiCad but still can suffer from memory)

Li-Ion batteries suffer when fully discharged, but in devices such as mobile phones they cannot be overcharged. Simply keep it plugged in when you can and it'll be fine.

I'll vouch for LiIon batteries suffering when fully discharged - the handheld computers (VERY basic, 100mhz machines with 16mb of ram running Windows 95 with custom interface, powering a wifi interface and a handheld barcode scanner) use custom LiIon batteries developed by an American company, and they've been used and fully discharged so much that their usage life is now less than two hours in most cases. It really annoys me.
