Default [Q] Weak WiFi reception after updating to CM10.1 ..

So I had my phone (Galaxy S 4G) on android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, and decided to update it to 4.2.2 using CM 10.1 . The process of rooting, backing up, and flashing went fine. Everything works except that the WiFi reception is notably weaker, a lot weaker I should say, even my old Iphone 3GS has better reception than it !
I've set the "Keep WiFi on while sleeping" on Always, but no changes. Also, I've set the Radio on UMTS Only, plus ticking the "Use 2G networks only" On.
Any ideas ?
Thanks a million in advance !

If you searched here you'd find that out is only the indication of signal strength that is lower, not the throughput. Changing the carrier modem or its settings has no impact on the displayed WiFi signal level. What any other device indicates on its screen is meaningless. "Bars" or even RSSI are uncalibrated, past the manufacturer wanting you to feel good.
