Default TCPMP video playback problem on TyTN

I've discovered a problem playing back video using TCPMP on my TyTN. The video goes blocky and occasionally, the whole screen vibrates as if the video card is unstable. I installed the ac3 codec as well. This was not a problem on my wizard playing the exact same video/movie clip with same codec.

Is this a video problem on my tytn or am I missing something here?

Same problem here. Setting video to raw frame buffer (or something like that) helps. It plays some of my vids that way, but as soon as I pause the movie tpcmp flips again...

Thats version 0.72RC1. Maybe that version is more stable on the tytn. Have you tried 0.71 with stable video?

I tried the 0.72RC version but still got the same problems...all scrambled and wierd.

Ive been using the smartmovie player (for ppc) on my Tytn to play divx files with no problems. Plays fine, clear and sharp but I much prefer TCPMP.

Default The solution

You are all going to love this one... I figured it out last night.

Turn off your bluetooth radio, and my god! the video works!

Turn the bluetooth back on and watch your TCPMP videos play like fubar!

It's not a TCPMP problem. With the bluetooth radio off, the video plays just fine for those formats that are supported for the ATI Decoder.

This device sure has it's problems. Perfectly useless ATI decoder chip when using bluetooth... how nice.

Nice one! I can verify that turning off the bluetooth radio fixes the video playback in TCPMP using Imageon. Lovely
