So here is the story. I bought a phone on craigslist to keep my unlimited data with Verizon. I called and checked the esn and it was clean.I go to activate the phone after I purchase and the demo mode keeps coming on every few minutes. Is there anyway to take it off???????????

Seems like you bought a store version. Have you don't a factory reset? Demo mode is an app. I believe the store crew has to login to it.

Sounds like a defective unit. If you have insurance have it replaced even if you didn't buy it from them assurion will replace it.

you can disable Demo Mode by using a Launcher like Apex. Hold home screen for two seconds then select Shortcuts. Now select Activities then scroll down to Demo mode, expand then select ".DemoModeActivity"

From there an icon will be placed upon your home screen. Touch it and follow the prompts.

For Motorola Droid devices, the password to wipe the device after it being set in Demo mode is " demomodeexit ".

Hope this helps someone.

Couldn't you root the device and use an app such as Titanium Back Up to remove the Demo Mode application? I always delete it when I debloat my Ultta
