Hey guys, Trying to install philz touch so i can root my new S5

I don't have a micro sd card atm, So i need to use odin. I get an error when flashing philz touch: secure check fail: recovery (phone) and odin says fail (auth) any idea why?

Not that silly :P I've flashed plenty of recoverys/roms/kernel's on my old S3. But never ran into this error before.

You shouldn't need to root before installing a custom recovery. I never have done on Samsung devices.

Is this a joke? I thought custom recovery was not possible on the S5.

Maybe my statement is only true for Vz.

What carrier are you on?
