Question [Q] Stupid question

I am puzzled. Previously, I created a folder called Documents on my nexus. I hook my Nexus 7 to laptop via usb. I want to move PDFs and word docs over to nexus. I do this but when I look at nexus I only see PDFs. When I do the whole operation over again, the copy process on the laptop says the word docs are already on the nexus. I did searches on nexus, the result is docs not found.

OK, can anyone tell me what I am missing?
