make sure you have mounted system in cwm before flashing any zip

goto mounts and storage
mount system (if system is mounted it will display "unmount system")
now you can flash a zip

you may want to root your phone first if its not already rooted

We could help you with this info
1) Is phone rooted?
2) What kernel you tried to use?

For #2 question, if you flashed a CM Kernel on Samsung Stock,
there is mounting problem due to rfs and ext4 problem.
