Now if only he would update it with an Evo 4G LTE profile...
WiFi Tether for Root Users - Android Apps on Google Play
HE IS UPDATING THE APP LIKE CRAZY! I have donated and requested a "Nexus S 4G" profile be created... He said he'll look into it. I'll keep you all up to date! I HIGHLY recommend googling "wifi tether" and clicking the "Downloads" link and always choosing the newest version, unless it doesn't work. So follow the link below for the newest version!
I am using 4G and WiFi Tether 3.1pre4 on my HTC EVO 3D to update this thread! WOOT WOOT!
If you can, PLEASE donate!
I look at it like this, the official tethering app is THIRTY bucks EACH MONTH! So what would it hurt to give like TEN bucks to the developer of this app that has been working non stop to give us 3G and 4G tethering, FOR FREE. I have been using this app since 2009, and I've been saving thirty bucks a month since then. Do the math and it shouldn't be hard to understand what I am saying...
If you have been following the thread located below, you would know that the dev over on the wifi tether page is updating the WiFi Tether app to work on the Evo 3D!
Issue 1047 - android-wifi-tether - it only lets me connect to google.com no other website - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting
Beta 4 just came out and has a profile JUST for the EVO 3D! Several people, including myself (right now to type this in fact) have confirmed that 3.1pre4, the EVO 3D profile, MSS Clamping, and Routing Fix works on BOTH 4G and 3G!
Beta 2 would NOT let you use 3G, BUT beta 3 WILL let you use 3G! And a lot of you may know that the 2.3.4 update breaks 4G wifi tether. But Herald HAS fixed that!
Here is a link to the apk! (Update - All will be posted here for now on, for your convenience!) And I will be updating this thread when I find that there is a newer version! Thanks nipslan for letting us know it updated to v5, and then again to v6!! I stopped following the thread because of how many emails I was getting!
Feel free to thank me or punch me... it's up to you!
People are pointing out that I pronounce "Tether" wrong... I am aware of this and it's the way I have been pronouncing it since I first saw the word "Tether". So please accept that I pronounce it wrong, I am sorry, and I will try to start pronouncing it correctly!
That is all, thank you!
