Hello Long time lurker, but since I acquired the TyTn, thought I would join.

Just a suggestion -- in Kuwait, there are two providers. MTC (which you have) and Wataniya Telecom (http://www.wataniya.com).

Thanks.

Also, the icon for Kuwait's MTC is ... fido.ca ??

Default Basics

Would it be possible to sticky/provide links to what are probably obvious things but that I have not been able to find using search, and I think would maybe help stop newbies (such as myself) from posting obvious questions all the time.
For example my main problem is that I don't know how to change command line options/parameters/registry but it is mentioned in nearly every thread (and the wiki) that I visit, but no instruction how to do so.
Yes, I have Total Commander but if I simply type in whatever a thread says to, nothing happens and TC has no instructions.

Thanks
B

"What ever" goes wiki

Sticky thread.

Wiki is the place were such info should be stored and ANYBODY can edit, add or change the content.

I recall seeing in some other forums the ability to Sticky posts (ie a post that would appear at the top of every page in a thread).
This may be a useful feature for the forum, especially in ROM threads where questions are often repeated.

Hi,

the forum has the option to make certain posts sticky which will leave them at the top.
However the option to make posts sticky is only available to moderators and admins.

If there is a certain post you feel should be sticky please let the moderators or admins know by posting a motivation and thread link in this thread.

Greetz,

Flar

I just noticed that a sticky post may be useful in ROM threads, especially the AKU3.3 v2 thread right now. While one may argue that noobs shouldn't be babied, having a post saying "Read the first post and the wiki for a solution prior to posting your problem. If your rom doesn't change, your phone is NOT CID UNLOCKED. Sim unlocking is DIFFERENT from CID unlocking." or something along those lines may be helpful.
I just often see people getting flamed for posting such questions.

I'm not saying flamers are at fault, I personally work as a tech and I've seen some pretty dull people and got really frustrated myself. This won't stop noobs from posting such problems but it will hopefully reduce the number.

Hello to all forum gods,

i'd love to have the possibility to check for new posts via RSS/Atom. Could you please add such a function? Thanks in advance.
