The T959W Wind version of the phone came stock with a LB6 modem so I dumped it and made a flashable package for GB and ICS to flash from recoveries for anyone wanting to try them for better reception, etc. I don't have a data plan, so let me know how they work for that, for MMS, etc.

Any problems, just flash back another modem from the MODEM THREAD It's only a modem, it shouldn't brick you, and if it does, you're using it wrong and I blame someone else.

LB6 CM9/AOKP FLASHABLE FROM TWRP OR CWM

LB6 CM7/GB FLASHABLE FROM CWM

You can also make an odin tarball like this:

Code:
tar -H ustar -c modem.bin > nameyourtarballwhatyoulike.tar
md5sum -t nameyourtarballwhatyoulike.tar >> nameyourtarballwhatyoulike.tar
mv nameyourtarballwhatyoulike.tar nameyourtarballwhatyoulike.tar.md5
You can even make it into a simple script like this:
(the license is there to say, "this is as-is, and I'm not responsible for what you do")
Code:
#/usr/bin/env bash
# Copyright (c) 2012 Bryan Hundven

# of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal

# AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER
# LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM,
# OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN
# THE SOFTWARE.

set -x

function usage()
{
  printf "Usage $(basename $0) [output file name] <list of files in the tarball>\n"
  exit 1
}

if [ $# -lt 2 ]; then
  usage
fi

OUTPUT_NAME=$1
shift

tar -H star -c $@ > ${OUTPUT_NAME}.tar
md5sum -t ${OUTPUT_NAME}.tar >> ${OUTPUT_NAME}.tar
mv ${OUTPUT_NAME}.tar ${OUTPUT_NAME}.tar.md5
Call it 'odin.sh' or just 'odin' and put it in ~/bin.
chmod +x ~/bin/odin.sh
or
chmod +x ~/bin/odin

odin.sh mytarballname modem.bin

Using:
Code:
#/usr/bin/env bash
should make *bsd people happy
But you can change that back to
Code:
#/bin/bash
if you really care that much... it's all the same.

Works fine for me. I noticed that signal doesn't indicate 4G or H. I'll test if long text is supported.

So you got the modems and you are still trying to get the bootloader?

I have pretty much everything. Heimdall fails flashing the modem, and I believe it fails flashing the bootloaders as well, and I assume Odin probably would fail both as well. So far though, all the bricks I've fixed have been a pit/param file issue.I don't know if odin or heimdall will actually write the bootloader, I will have to test more.

Interesting. Wonder if anyone else notices better battery with it.
