Hi all :)


A few of my friends announced that has received the update via OTA software v50020d from LG for G Pad.
Knock code has been updated and more

This is the korean firmware of LG g pad. just knock code!

It sure does. Just in time for a work conference to show it off to the iFruit masses. :)

Given that I wasn't thinking we'd see ANY more stock upgrades to the G-Pad, this is a welcome surprise. Ideally an upgrade to 4.x or 5.0 or whatever comes next would've been awesome, but I'm glad my tablet hasn't been THAT quickly forgotten.

I agree with you, but i hope that 4.5 or 5.0 will come on our GPad: otherwise there is Cyanogen :)

I'm in the US and I just received the Update Via the LG tool.

Not really, so far is just the Knock code, better response on wake up. I was hoping it was going to fix the Google music playback error but it still an issue.

    Sorry forgot to add this...

    You will need to modify the runme.bat file to make it run with 20d.

    There will be a section in the file that looks like this...

    if %FWVER%==4.4.2 (
    if /I %MODEL%==LG-V500 (
    if /I %FWBUILD%==KOT49I.V50020a (
    GOTO CheckSU
    )
    if /I %FWBUILD%==KOT49I.V50020b (
    GOTO CheckSU
    )
    )

    echo.

    This is checking for the version of the 4.4.2 on the device and since the version on your tab is 20d it will error out...Just go ahead and change the V50020b to V50020d, save the file and try again.

    includes:
    twrp
    root
    busybox

    everything else left untouched

    this will probably have to be clean flashed!

    I successfully did the same a few days ago. I you are already rooted then you have to do the following steps:

    Step 3 from this thread http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2698267&nocache=1
    You have to modify runme.bat before you run it The script checks for version V50020a / V50020b. So just change one of these values to V50020d. Otherwise the script will fail.

    After that you can download and install 4.4.2-v500-TWRP_2.7.1.0-recovery.zip from this thread http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2551499 Be sure to grab the version for 4.4.2

    The last OTA caused serious problems for people who loaded it with an existing custom recovery. I wouldn't recommend it. If fact, personally, I would wait until somebody provides a fixed version that is compatible with TWRP and already rooted. If you really don't want to wait, then the safest bet is to go completely back to stock before installing this.
