Default [Q] Can't get into fastboot with power+vol down

I tried to turn off the phone by by pressing the power button for 10 sec as directed in the guide on the development section. But all that did was restart the phone. So i turned it off with the regular method then tried to get into fastboot with power+vol down; But all the phone did was just boot normally to the stock ROM.
PS. I am trying to unlock the bootloader to install costum roms.
Thanks for helping

I like to power down the phone then hold the decrease volume rocker then power on the phone. I've never run into any issues so this a pretty foolproof methodology in my experience.

Have You Tried POWER And VOLUME UP Buttons For At Least 10 Seconds? This Should Be Work.
