Default SEARCH contact-notes: a way to reduce searching time from minutes to secs

While using my old XDA II, WM2003, if I run a search, within my 2,000 contacts database, using the standard WM03 FIND tool, for, say a name, a surname, a company's name, any word in contact-notes it would take anything from 5 secs to 15 secs. Very resonable time-span!

Now with WM2005 (my current A701 and XDA mini) a SEARCH takes seemingly anything from 4 minutes to 5 minutes, under same conditions.

Any solutions? Any third party software which can make the SEARCH function return hits within 1 minute?

I heard the problem is in the way WM2005's memory is structured. Any further comments?

Thanks

But I am not talking of launchin a call. I am talking of performing a SEARCH throughout the whole contact database and having hits come within reasonalbe time (secs instead of minutes)

Any more suggestions
