I've never given any smartphone an editors choice award before, though I daily regret not giving the One S an award of some kind. For the HTC One I'm giving our Editors Choice Gold award, which is our second highest award. The One is an incredibly awesome device
I'm a big fan of the HTC One and can see myself using it for quite a while, even without seeing necessarily everything of its main upcoming contenders. It's a device which amazingly is built to the kind of specifications I'd want from a device — huge emphasis on camera, all metal construction with actively tuned antennas, and a powerful SoC inside.
"The HTC One raised the bar for all smartphones with its gorgeous display, versatile camera and impeccable design. It's currently the standard by which all other smartphones are judged, and it remains the One to beat" Engadget
But it was the show floor that swung it for HTC: "You only needed to look at the swaths of people clustered around the HTC stand to play with the One to see that this is where the buzz resides at the show this year."

After the Out of Topic trouble we faced in the old thread, the mods and myself decided to start a new a sticky mega information thread, this time in read only format
The new thread will post news strictly to HTC One (M7) hardware and software, it will also cover tests, reviews and finds about various topics like the Snapdragon 600 SOC, Adreno 320 GPU, Ultrapixel camera, Sense 5, Google Edition, future updates, Gaming performance and Custom kernels
If anybody feels i have missed a piece of important information you can send it to me via PM and i will be sure to give you the credits
For those who like to continue the more general HTC action from the old thread, I will be contributing to the following Off-topic thread by @DeSaint2:
Go to the screen tab and reduce the value you think is causing the tint, for example on my HTC One i always felt its a little on the green side, in order to reach the perfect white balance make sure to reduce in very small amounts and keep in mind it will only work after a reboot
We can better understand the ideas behind the campaign ie: The HTC One, a game changer

HTC has just started to roll-out a minor firmware update for the HTC One, which already hit France. According to the provided information, the v2.24.401.8 update, which only is 32 MB small, is said to add compatibility for the upcoming HTC Mini+ remote control as well as the original Google Android keyboard, which is available from the Android Google Play market as a free download. If HTC has now started to roll-out a minor firmware update, which contains support for the HTC Mini+, it shouldn't take too long anymore to see it released in Europe, even if HTC has yet not officially announced it but all we have is the::unwired's earlier observation of a software update as well as Clove's later blog post of the expected launch.
