How to optimize internal sd space with safestrap 3.75

What is the best way to get the most space out of internal sd when using safestrap 3.75?

I've done allot of reading but am unsure of how to do it, and if it's okay to wipe/format the stock slot?

If I factory reset the stock Rom slot I don't have enough memory for my ROM and all my apps on slot 1.

What can I safely do?

you can backup stock rom to ext sd.. delete rom slot.. wipe stock slot and install my deodex rom thats only 618mb to stock rom slot.. win win

If we install a rom to the stock slot are there any partitioning we have to do?
