Default ExtROM Unlocked but Still Protected

I have the Cingular ExtROM - Cingular 8525 1.34.502.1 ExtROM WWE - unhidden and unlocked (used the fit4cat utility as well as the cab file on the wiki web page) -- I can see the files and even individually click on them and load them but I cannot delete them or add others to the ExtROM folder. I get an error msg. that "this media is write protected." Is this the expected behavior?

DONATE TO ME
Go in the "How to Unlock and/or Unhide your Extended ROM" wiki page:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index..._Unhide_Extrom

Read where it says:

Quote:
NOTE: In the latest ROM versions (Cingular 1.3x for example) it is not possible to unlock the ExtROM, only to unhide it. All the hacks in this page use the same registry key to unlock it, so if you cannot unlock it using one hack you'll not be able to unlock it wiht the others. Please do NOT flood the forums with questions if you cannot unlock it, we don't know a way of unlocking it other than this, and WHEN we know it, we will post it here.
