Guys. If your interested I just spoke to Infineon (The memory section is now a company called Qimonda) today and the HYB25L512160AC has been discontinued! I have however gotten some contact details and spoken to a guy who will quite happily sell these in small quantities (Or bulk)

Yes. They are for NOR flash. Universal was first designed for WM2003 and was unable to boot from NAND. Now these spaces are completely useless. And the other free space is for a GPS chip.

shame we cant add the GPS chip, or is this next.

Can we have the ROM extended as well as the RAM so we could partition it to have Linux and WM6 installed side by side and choose (dual boot?) which to use? (dreaming...dreaming....dreaming)

I gave the test ROM for several people, it is stable, but working only on G3 devices both with 64 MB and 128 MB RAM. I can publish it here if needed.
