Default Ever wondered why dial-up networking is not available in AKU3 any more? Read this!

Hope you all follow the General forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=256 ) here at XDA-Developers

If you don’t or have otherwise missed my article and have wondered why the Dial-Up Networking Bluetooth profile isn’t contained by AKU3, what about the new Network Access Profile, where infrared support is gone etc., make sure you check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=282780

DUN = GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA - are they also outdated?

UPDATE (03/16/2007): now, with the brand new, 10.4.9 Mac OS X version, AKU3 can be used for dial-up. Please see THIS for more info. Also, there's a tutorial on making AKU3 dial-up work under Unix / Linux HERE.

UPDATE (04/19/2007): the Microsoft WM folks have just published an article on the PAN vs DUN issue. It's HIGHLY recommended. Also, you may want to check out PPCT and Just Another Mobile Monday.

Let me get the instructions right:

Just copy the file: "WM5AKU3WM6DUNReEnableRegImp" (2.61 Kb) to the Windows Folder of the Universal and soft reset.

No need for example for Resco Registry Editor to run it???

Thanks for posting here.
